Tigh Na Ceol has recently been refurbished and decorated throughout. The single level bungalow can sleep up to six people in its three bedrooms. There's a large south and east facing garden on the beach side of the property, and a smaller West facing garden on the road side. The gardens are private and enclosed - as long as access gates are kept shut - and there's off-street parking in the driveway for a car.

  • Bedroom 1  – Kingsize bed + ensuite with walk-in shower

  • Bedroom 2 – Two single beds

  • Bedroom 3 – Double bed

Aside from the ensuite there's a fully fitted family bathroom with an over-bath shower. All of the linen and towels are provided and replenished between every stay.

The main living room comprises a comfortable open-plan seating and dining area with stunning views across Kilchattan Bay to the islands of Great & Little Cumbrae and the Ayrshire mainland beyond. Patio doors open onto a south east facing deck - perfect for morning coffee. There's also a desk area if working is unavoidable, a selection of books and boardgames, a Bose bluetooth speaker and a Fifty inch HD TV with all the terrestrial channels, Netflix and NowTV. There's also fast and reliable WiFi.

The separate kitchen is well equipped with a five ring gas hob, electric oven, microwave and all the usual appliances including an espresso machine. There isn't a dishwasher yet, so washing up is done the old-fashioned way. For laundry there's a washing machine and  tumble dryer. For outdoor living there's a brick bbq and a folding table with four chairs. There's also a large picnic bench in the garden - perfect for a drink on summer afternoons or watching the family play on the lawn.

House & Garden

"If you are lucky enough to book Tigh Na Ceol and the sun shines, you will have the kind of old fashioned relaxing holiday that time forgot. Stunning location and very peaceful. Great coffee machine for a proper cup as you watch the sun rise. If it rains put on a coat, there are loads of little bits of history dotted about within a short walk and friendly neighbours will happily pass time of day filling in the bits the guide books don’t. Just a five minute stroll to the pub with good home cooking or a regular bus to other restaurants and attractions. Comfortable and stylish furnishings to cosy in and watch the waves. A great place for a get away."  Ainslie - August 2019
